Association membership is an affiliation with your local Santa Barbara charter. Members serve together (or independently) in a wide range of service activities to support Ladies of Charity of Santa Barbara mission. Members participate in prayer and spiritual activities; attend local association meetings and when possible the Ladies of Charity of Santa Barbara national assembly, and submit dues annually. Members receive Ladies of Charity USA newsletter (Servicette) quarterly.
To serve rather than be served.
Inspired by St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, we are called to a vocation of service to the poor. We embrace our Vincentian heritage by service in humility, simplicity, and love. We put our faith into action finding Jesus in those we serve.
As women of Faith, Hope and Joy we bring the healing of Christ to those in pain, the hope of Christ to those who despair and the compassion of Christ to those who are outcast and marginalized. We are the voice of the poor.
These officers have been elected to lead the Ladies of Charity of Santa Barbara for the next two years. Recalling St. Vincent de Paul’s words that there is a variety of gifts but always the same Spirit, and reflection in their hearts on the gifts they have been given, these officers willingly share those gifts for the building up of the Ladies of Charity of Santa Barbara, practicing the virtues of humility, simplicity and charity which are characteristic of all Ladies of Charity.
